Jon Foster joined The Cypress Group in March 2002. Most recently, he was a senior managing director in the mergers and acquisitions group at Bear Stearns, where he led the industrial products and services effort. Previously, he had been the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of ToysRus.com, responsible for logistics, planning, customer service, finance and human resources. Prior to this, Jon was a managing director at Lazard Freres & Co., where he worked for more than ten years. His activities at Lazard included a variety of domestic and cross-border business combinations and divestitures, as well as an array of financings. He received an Msc. in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics in 1985 and a BBA in accounting from Emory University in 1994.
