Prior to joining The Cypress Group at its founding in 1994, William Spiegel worked for five years in the merchant banking group of Lehman Brothers. Over the course of his career, Mr. Spiegel has worked on private equity transactions and related financings in a wide range of industries. He currently focuses his attention on the financial services and healthcare industries and serves on the boards of Cinemark USA, MedPointe Inc. and Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. Mr. Spiegel holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MA in economics from the University of Western Ontario and a BSc from the London School of Economics.
